Rotary has a high profile international presence that requires the support of every Club. Our Club will have a strong international focus this year that will be complementary to our Club’s youth program.

 

Aims

 

• Encourage and foster the advancement of international understanding, good will and peace through the world of fellowship of business and professional persons.
• Support overseas programs in pursuit of the Rotary goals.
• Have a themed Youth International component

 

Activities and Programs

 

• To hold a Youth International night, with possible Youth Exchange students to give their perspective of what it means to travel overseas and experiences they have encountered
• Continue support of Donations in Kind Project with Working Bees, supply of useable items and financial support.
• Rotary Volunteers – where possible have members continue with these services as we have done in the past e.g. Gizo
• Projects Fair – represent and support worthy programs in our district in PNG Solomon Islands, and contribute financially
• Hold International Nights and International toasts, have themed nights
• Vocational Training Teams (VTT – prev. GSE) host a meeting with outgoing and incoming VTT team members to have a better understanding of their contribution and knowledge gained through this vocational exchange process
