Mission
The mission of The Rotary Foundation is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
Objectives
The objective is the implementation of Club programmes for addressing the Rotary foundation mission.
Actions
- Develop a greater understanding of the activities of The Rotary Foundation with quarterly information sessions.
- Encouraging an annual club giving to the Rotary Foundation of $US100 per member.
- Coordinate a program in the club and submission to District for Simplified and Matching grants.
- Promote annual giving to TRF (including Centurions and sustaining members).
- Involvement in Group Study Exchange Program by team hosting and finding candidates,
- Support the Rotary Foundation Polio Plus Program and Polio Plus Partners Program by promoting giving to the program and organize fundraising functions such as a pancake breakfast.
- Support the Rotary Against Malaria Project.
- Continue Rotary Foundation Donations Column on the weekly attendance sheet to encourage members to become members of The Centurion Club.
- Support the Rotary World peace Fellows program at U.Q. by finding candidates interviewing applications to District counselling and promotion.
- Keep register and contact with alumni in ATG area.
- Sponsor or act as counsellor of an Ambassadorial Scholar.
